Archer was still quite fussy over the last 24 hours. He also experienced some reflux. A decision was made to change the way he takes in his feedings and change the slope of his bed to help with this issue. Instead of taking in milk every three hours, Archer will be on a continuous feeding schedule through his feeding tube. It adds up to about 2 ml every hour. His feedings were increased by 8 ml per day based on this new feeding schedule and his increasing weight. The staff is hoping that he won't have to work or fuss as much with this new schedule. Archer is also receiving a double dose of medicine today to help drain fluids around his lungs. This will also increase his diaper deposits, which Dad experienced changing today. Archer floated around 2 pounds, 2 ounces today, depending if it was before or after a diaper change.
Mom had her first opportunity to give Archer a bath! She soaked some wipes with soap and water while Archer soaked and stained his bed.
